Big man bosses it with a defensive master class.

Todays game was the last of our season and as we had already won the league we decided to draw straws for positions, and we were left lining up 4-4-2, Ross in goal, Auger right back, Warren left back, Beeson and Grids (the big man) centre backs, Tony (alonso) and Sibbo centre mid with jake and saltes out wide leaving webbo and wayno up top.

You could tell we had done this and started fairly poorlhy however thanks to some geroic defending and all round good play from the immense Gridley and Beeson we didnt concede when under pressure.
We went 1-0 nil up when after a few minor changes Grids played a ball through to Wayno Ions Pike to go past one with a lucky deflection poke hom at the second attempt. 1 became 2 when after a good ball Webbo created something from nothing with a quality cruyff style finish into the bottom corner.
We went ono in the second half and scored more with Grids scoring 2 strikes from outswide the box which the keeper should have saved, Warren scored a lucky strike from 20 yards and another from inside the box and coley the cat man scored from a corner as the ball missed everyone. Webbo added with there playter making a dubious pass back and the keeper missing it and the ball trickling in for webbo to claim (and i say claim) his second.

So the game finished 8-1, and to be honest was a typical end of season game although we have gone the whole season in the league undefeated which is something we have failed to do previously and scoring over 100 goals.
Lets hope next season proves to be as succesful and maybe have some good cup runs to add to the league form.

Highlights today included Hilly not moving out of a 10 yard radius on the left handside and leaving a rampant grids to do all the work, Hilly biting his tongue when he found out he had pulled the bench straw, Salts getting his shirt ripped off him (now owes the club £40), Waynos mater getting eggy bread 'its about the football' and re living the team night out with Augers antics - lets please never let him forget that night, because i certainyl wont!!!!
